Improvements

This Summer

The Club committee have been busy over the summer to improve the look of the club and to protect it from the elements. Recent work includes

– Replacing the sink and water heater in the ladies

– A full redecoration of the inside of the building

– The digging of a drainage ditch to reduce the risk of dampness

– Replacement / repairs to various parts of the roof and repointing old brickwork and ridge tilesLast year the club replaced the ceiling and the air-conditioning / heating system (which was 14 years old and out of support)

Last Year

During damp-proofing work the committee decided to retain the brick wall uncovered during the work and at the same time open up the sealed up bell tower to make it a feature. The Lighting was improved as well. These enhancements have been extremely well received and serve to make the club a cosy and welcoming building

Our plans for the coming year include a full internal re-decoration as well as improvements to the upstairs rooms which are badly in need of repair

We also plan to have a full roof-survey conducted to identify any work that may be required to protect the building from rain & wind in the future
